Funding and payments

We have service agreements with a large number of funding bodies including both governmental and non-governmental agencies. These include:

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme
  • Home Care Packages and Commonwealth Home Support Care Packages

We also work alongside privately funded clients.

Call 1800 988 767 during business hours for a free consultation to explore your funding options.

Yes, this is a great way to purchase some extra support on a one-off or ongoing basis, either for you or as a gift to support a friend or family member.

A standard surcharge applies for weekends and public holidays.  Evening shifts (after 8.00pm) also attract the same surcharge.  This is because our staff are paid an allowance when working at these times.

Some aged care and respite funding programs require a co-payment from you.  MCWA follows Australian Government guidelines when undertaking financial assessments and reviewing co-payment amounts.

You can expect to receive regular, detailed invoices and where applicable, detailed statements about your funding package.

We offer direct debit facilities or you can arrange payment by credit card.  Check your invoice for details.

Where your services are financed by a funding agency, MCWA typically claims payment directly from that agency and your records will reflect that.

Our staff

Our Support Workers are required to undertake a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) as a minimum.  Many have Certificate IV qualifications in ageing support or disability.  Nursing and allied health staff all hold the requisite qualifications and registrations.

All staff undertake extensive screening prior to commencing with us, including mandatory police checks and working with children checks where appropriate.

MCWA offers a traineeship program for staff without formal qualifications.  All our staff hold current first aid and CPR qualifications and many have specific, advanced training in various clinical areas.  This means our staff are well-equipped to work alongside people with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries and challenging behaviours.

Importantly, many of our staff are proficient in a second language including Macedonian, Serbian, Turkish, Greek, Bulgarian, Italian, Slovenian and many more.

We also employ Client Service Managers who oversee support plans and service agreements.  This is particularly important when care plans are complex and involve a range of health professionals, such as NDIS plans.
