The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing held its 2012 conference at the Melbourne Convention Centre on the 7th and 8th June 2012. The conference included a number of key speakers including, Minister for Mental Health and Ageing the Hon Mark Butler MP, Pino Migliorino from FECCA, Hon Susan Ryan AO from Australia’s Age Discrimination Commissioner and many more. The conference was a great event with over 250 people in attendance including Slobodanka Trajkovska (MCWA) and Daniela Tomanoska (MCWA). The theme for this conference was ‘Stories to Inspire’ including a variety of examples of positive projects within the wider Australian CALD community.
In partnership with Alzheimer’s Australia’s, Jenny Phillips and Daniela Tomanoska presented on the topic of Dementia Care with a focus on the Memory Lane Cafe project. This presentation and a number of others can be accessed on this link;
